Book Number: RC 15246
Kane and Abel by Jeffrey Archer
A tale of power, jealousy, and revenge. Two men from widely different
backgrounds are obsessed with destroying each other. Spans more than sixty
years from
1906 to the late 1960s and revolves around William Lowell Kane, a
millionaire financier, and Abel Rosnovski, a Polish immigrant who rises to
become the
head of a vast hotel empire. Strong language and explicit descriptions of
sex. Bestseller 1980.
This was the first of Archer's books from me. I enjoyed it.I give it a 4 out of 5.

Seconded. I found this a good read. Also, I recently read Jeffrey Archer's prison diary. For those who don't know, Archer was imprisoned almost 4 years ago now for purgery. I found it quite interesting from Archer's viewpoint, as he frequently compared his lifestyle/treatment/experience to those of his inmates who had committed far more severe crimes. Although the diary soon became quite monotonous and mundayne, come now, in its defence, how else could prison life possibly be? Whilst it ended abruptly, I found it quite inciteful and worth reading if an Archer fan.
